James Talarico reflects on free speech attacks

During a campaign stop in Dallas on Thursday, State Rep. James Talarico—who is running for US Senate in Texas—criticized the attacks on free speech happening throughout the country following the death of far right political activist Charlie Kirk.

This week, Jimmy Kimmel was suspended after he commented about Kirk and MAGA supporters during an episode of his late-night show. And in Texas, educators and students are being investigated, fired, and expelled over social media posts about Kirk that Republican lawmakers don’t like.
