Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D‑TX) is pushing to restore local control and stop federal overreach in immigration enforcement. Her new bill removes the section of federal code that allows the federal government to pressure local agencies into acting as extensions of ICE calling for accountability, safer communities, and an end to harmful enforcement practices.
