Fireworks will light up Dallas-Fort Worth this Fourth of July. Here’s where to find the best Independence Day fireworks shows.

The Fourth of July is a beautiful time in DFW. This year, we’re celebrating 248 years of independence, and just about every neighborhood has something to offer. From classic fireworks displays to live music to unique events like pony rides, tattoo artists, and water slides, there’s no shortage of entertainment.

Before heading out to a fireworks show or two, keep these tips in mind:

  • Bring lawn chairs and blankets. You’ll want to bring a place to set up shop unless you’re fine standing for several hours at a time.
  • Carry cash. Not every vendor accepts credit cards, so keeping cash on hand will ensure you can purchase anything that catches your eye.
  • Scope out the parking situation. Some events offer free parking, and others require payment. Some also have shuttles that will take you to and from the action. Depending on how crowded things get, parking away from the event and walking over could be worthwhile.
  • Have a meetup spot. If you’re visiting with a group and you head off in different directions, designate a recognizable spot as the meeting point at the end of the event in case anyone gets lost. Cell phones usually help avoid this, but there could always be a dead battery or spotty service.

Ready to go? Here are 22 fireworks shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, sorted by chronological order. Happy Independence Day!

Mansfield Rocks

If you can’t wait until July, head to Mansfield for the Mansfield Rocks celebration. Concerts highlight the weekend schedule, with the “End of an Era” tour including tributes to Taylor Swift (Taylor Nation) and Jimmy Buffett (Bluffett). The day before Independence Day, Hawaiian Falls will host a Fireworks Frenzy, complete with a foam cannon, a DJ dance party, and themed food and drinks. The Fireworks Spectacular wraps up the week-long celebration.

June 28-29 (7 p.m.), and July 3 (5 p.m.), concerts are free admission with a ticket. Fireworks Frenzy ranges from $9.99 for season pass holders to $39.99 for regular admission

110 S. Main St, Mansfield, TX 76063

Light Up Arlington

The Arlington fireworks go off nearly a week before the city’s Independence Day Parade. This event features local food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly activities, such as a bubble bus, face painting, and a children’s entrepreneur market. Four stages will rotate bands throughout the evening, with the grand finale of fireworks shooting off the roof of City Tower starting at 9:50 p.m.

June 29, 6 p.m., free admission

So, what can you expect at Addison Circle Park? An impressive 25-minute fireworks show featuring 4,000 shells. On July 4, the Party in the Plaza offers amusements, a car show, a patriotic vendor village, and the Texas Ice Cream Festival.
