For the fourth consecutive year, Dallas teens have the opportunity to explore popular city attractions without charge, thanks to the city’s Teen All Access Pass program.
The Dallas Park and Recreation Department is distributing 10,000 passes, providing entry for one teen and three companions to various cultural and leisure venues. Supported by numerous local attractions, this initiative aims to offer enriching experiences for teens during the summer months.
“I’m thrilled that our Park and Recreation Department is once again offering the Teen All Access Pass, which has proven year after year to be one of Dallas’ most popular summer initiatives,” said Mayor Eric L. Johnson. “As part of the third annual Summer of Safety, Dallas teens can enjoy free access to premier Dallas venues all summer with the Teen All Access Pass.”
Arun Agarwal, President of the Dallas Park and Recreation Board, highlighted the initiative’s importance. “It is important that families have access to quality leisure recreation programs, facilities, parks, and other spaces that add meaning and value to their lives. With help from many of our generous partner organizations, Dallas is giving young people a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy unforgettable experiences and spend time this summer discovering new things to learn and do in the city,” he noted.
How it works
The Teen All Access Pass program, launched in 2021, originally issued 7,066 passes, resulting in 14,279 free admissions. This year’s partner organizations include the African American Museum at Fair Park, Bahama Beach Waterpark, Dallas Zoo, Perot Museum, and many other cultural and recreational venues.
The passes, available on a first-come, first-served basis, are limited to Dallas residents aged 13-17. Teens must register in person at a Dallas recreation center during regular business hours and provide proof of residency to obtain the pass. Detailed information, including center locations and a list of participating venues, is available at DallasParks.org.
