Blue Bell is partnering with Wing to offer an exciting ice cream giveaway for DFW residents. Here’s how you can get a free pint of the new Classic Pecan Pie flavor.
Blue Bell Creameries, a Texas-based ice cream company, announced a new limited edition flavor available as of September 4: Classic Pecan Pie. Given that pecan pie is the official state pie of Texas, the creamery is banking on the flavor being a hit with locals. It features brown sugar ice cream, a pecan pie filling swirl, pecans, and pie crust pieces.
In a press statement, John Neal Robinson, the general sales manager for Blue Bell, said, “There is no need for pie and ice cream when you can now have both in a carton of our Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream.” The flavor is available in both pint and half-gallon sizes. To celebrate its release, Blue Bell is working with Wing, a drone delivery service, to bring DFW residents a pint of the sweet treat…for free!
Here’s how you can try Blue Bell’s Classic Pecan Pie ice cream for free
According to Culture Map Dallas, between now (September 5) and October 5, eligible customers in DFW can receive one free pint of Blue Bell’s Classic Pecan Pie flavor. The Texan creamery partnered with Wing, a drone delivery service, and Walmart to create this unique opportunity. There’s no minimum purchase requirement, and you don’t have to pay any delivery fees or leave a tip (unless you want to) to take advantage of the exclusive offer. Sometimes free really does mean free.
You’ll need to check the ice cream’s availability at one of the 14 Walmart locations found throughout DFW by clicking this link. An account is required to use the service, but it’s a pretty straightforward process to set one up through Wing. Then, if you’re in the delivery zone of one of those locations, just add a pint of the Classic Pecan Pie ice cream to your cart and it’ll be delivered to your door stop, for free, in 30 minutes or less.
Whether you have the flavor on its own, in a cone, or with a slice of pecan pie—because can there ever really be too much pecan pie?—Blue Bell hopes you enjoy the latest flavor.
