Fort Worth’s Cutting Edge Haunted House was named the scariest Halloween attraction in the world. Here’s how you can plan your visit.

For any ghouls and goblins in the DFW area who are looking for something truly frightening to do this Spooky Season, you’re in luck—Cutting Edge Haunted House on East Lancaster Avenue was just named the No. 1 scariest Halloween attraction in the world.

That’s right, in the world. HauntWorld, a website dedicated to finding, rating, and reviewing Halloween attractions across the globe, recently named Fort Worth’s Cutting Edge the scariest on its annual list of the 13 Best Haunted Houses. Lending to the overall ranking were Cutting Edge’s nationally acclaimed zombie drumline, the immense scale of the haunted attraction in a century’s old meatpacking plant, and the performers’ ability to truly commit to the bit.

The terrifying Fort Worth attraction invests in the development of each performer through an extensive in-house training program known as Boo University. Every actor auditions for their respective role and receives a callback audition before heading to Boo University to gain oversight and assistance as they develop the character work, timing, and guest interaction skills needed to provide an experience that is unlike any other.

Want to check out the horror firsthand? Here’s how you can grab your tickets before time slots run out.

Buy your tickets ahead of time

To experience Cutting Edge Haunted House’s iconic scares this Halloween, you’ll need to select a date and corresponding time slot through the company’s website. Tickets range in price from about $30 to $60 depending on the day you go, and parking will cost an additional $20. Parking must be paid for in cash, though you can use whichever payment you prefer for the tickets themselves.

Children can only visit if they’re at least 42 inches tall, and you’re not permitted to bring a purse on the premises. Cutting Edge is only open Thursdays thru Sundays for most of October, though on the week of Halloween, it’s open Tuesday through Saturday.
