DART’s Silver Line is officially up and running. Here’s what you need to know about its 10 station stops.

It’s official, DART’s Silver Line—spanning between Plano and the DFW International Airport—is now up and running! To celebrate the occasion, free rides are available on the Silver Line until November 8.

The new transit line will service seven cities, including Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, Dallas, DFW Airport, Grapevine, Plano, and Richardson, and cover around 26 miles. According to CultureMap Dallas, the Stadler trains feature luggage and bike racks, ADA-compliant boarding, comfortable seating options, and USB chargers. The trains will run every day from 4 a.m. until 1 a.m. and are scheduled to arrive every half hour during peak commuting times.

CEO and DART President Nadine Lee spoke with Railway-News about the newest addition and said, “The Silver Line is a centerpiece of our Point B vision to make DART your first-in-mind mobility partner. By connecting key employment centers, neighborhoods, and the world’s third-busiest airport, this project will be a catalyst for economic growth, provide access to opportunity, and a seamless mobility experience that helps our region thrive.”

Want to take advantage of the Silver Line’s free rides between now and November 8? Here’s where you can pick up the new trains.

The new DFW Silver Line stops in seven cities

For those looking to try out DART’s Silver Line in Plano, two stops are operational in your area: Downtown on 12th Street, and on Shiloh Road. In Richardson, stops are made at UT Dallas and CityLine/Bush. The Silver Line also stops in North Dallas at Knoll Trail and at Addison Station. The Downtown Carrollton stop also serves as a transfer hub for those looking to head out to Fort Worth, Dallas, or Denton with ease.

Additional Silver Line stops are as follows:

  • DFW Airport Terminal B
  • DFW Airport North (Grapevine)
  • Cypress Waters (Coppell/Dallas)

To develop each of these stations, DART collaborated with the surrounding communities to ensure they were designed with optimal accessibility and safety within the existing infrastructure. Residents can also take the Silver Line to connect with DART bus routes, light rail network, and the Trinity Metro’s TEXRail Service.
