Portillo’s opened a new location in North Dallas. Here’s everything you need to know about the hot dog chain’s latest restaurant.
If you’ve been craving a Chicago-style hot dog or an Italian Beef Sandwich and wish you could enjoy them a little closer to home, you’re in luck: Portillo’s just announced that it finally opened a restaurant within Dallas’s city limits. The popular fast-casual chain already has locations set up in Fort Worth, Denton, Allen, Mansfield, Grapevine, Arlington, and Grand Prairie. Portillo’s North Dallas is located at 13904 Dallas Parkway at the intersection near Spring Valley Road, making it conveniently accessible for those running errands at the nearby Galleria mall.
An official release announcing the North Dallas restaurant said, in part, that it will “feature Portillo’s ‘Restaurant of the Future’ design, with seating for about 120 guests indoors and 40 guests on the patio.” There’s also two designated drive-thru lanes, a Grab-and-Go section inside the restaurant, and Portillo’s Pick-Up shelves if you want to order in advance and skip the line. Portillo’s North Dallas officially opened to the public on March 31 and has been serving up a delicious array of food and beverages (and cake!) during normal business hours, which are:
- 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday
- 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday
The chain is primarily known for its signature Italian beef sandwiches and Chicago-style hot dogs, but if those aren’t necessarily your speed, chili cheese dogs, Maxwell Street Polish sausages, char-grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and even pasta are also available. Pro Tip, though: Bring Tums.
Portillo’s will also open a new store at the DFW airport in May
As if the North Dallas location wasn’t exciting enough, Portillo’s is also gearing up for the grand opening of its location at the DFW Airport in Frisco. That one will welcome its first customers on May 21, though additional details, such as hours of operation and whether it will have a reduced menu since it’s a smaller location, are still forthcoming.
