Paramount+’s show “Landman” has filmed at several locations throughout the DFW area. How many have you recognized?

The Paramount+ original series “Landman” has been the talk of the town since Season 1 premiered in 2024. Centered around Billy Bob Thornton’s character Tommy Norris, it showcases (and dramatizes) the inner workings of Texas’s gas and oil industry. Starring alongside Thornton are other Hollywood heavy hitters, including Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, and Ali Larter. While the show is compelling on its own, it presents an added layer of excitement and intrigue for those in the Lone Star State who recognize familiar locations in each new episode.

Though it’s set in Odessa and Midland, “Landman” has actually filmed around Fort Worth for many of its pivotal scenes. The production office is based in the city, allowing for location scouts to have direct access to all the best things DFW has to offer. Some of the most notable landmarks highlighted in the series include Texas Christian University (TCU), Frost Tower, and the Fort Worth Stockyards. Still, a myriad of other places have also enjoyed their time in the spotlight.

Let’s take a closer look at all the places where “Landman” has filmed throughout its current run.

Here’s every DFW location they’ve shown recently in “Landman”

Several outlets, including the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, have episode-by-episode breakdowns of every filming location in “Landman” if you want exact breakdowns, but we’re going to generally go over the ones that have shown up so far. In addition to TCU, Frost Tower, and the Fort Worth Herd driving cattle at the Fort Worth Stockyard, “Landman” has shown Cattleman’s Steak House, Oakwood Cemetery, 61 Osteria, and River Crest Country Club. It has also shone the spotlight on Dickies Arena, the Pioneer Tower at Will Rogers Memorial Center, Bowie House Hotel, Mary’s Cafe, and the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Here are a few other places that Visit Fort Worth has logged as “Landman” locations in Texas:

  • Meacham Airport
  • Petroleum Club
  • Hotel Drover
  • Sundance Square
  • Beer Barn
  • Don Artemio Restaurant
  • Babes N Brew
  • Michaels Crafts
  • The Lowdown Track and Field Complex at TCU
  • Body Machine Fitness
  • Midland Country Club
  • Texas Health Clearfork

Not only does the show film around DFW, but it also shouts out some of the area’s cultural touchpoints. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram has been mentioned by name during the show, as has Troy Aikman, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current ESPN Monday Night Football analyst.

When lead Billy Bob Thornton was asked by CBS News Texas about how it’s been filming in Texas for the series, he said, “It’s becoming a place where people want to be. It’s growing here and I love it. I love it for Texas, I love it for the people.”
