Not only can you step onto a haunted ship in Rise of the Kraken and try to escape a serial killer in Summer of Shadows, but visitors can also grab a drink at The Hideout: Secret Bar, try to solve the clues in mini escape rooms, and shoot at live zombie actors in a creepy version of paintball. Visitors have mentioned that this haunt is able to hit almost every phobia you can think of.

If you’re coming here just to experience a good scare, you’ll probably get more than you asked for. Houston Terror Dome also offers paintball, a live DJ, axe throwing, escape rooms, a pumpkin patch, and a haunted bar. Multiple visitors mentioned getting chased by a scare actor with a chainsaw as a highlight of the experience.

You haven’t reached heaven, but you’re not quite in hell yet—you’re stuck in Purgatory Scream Park. Visitors can choose from four different attractions: inhuman doctors at Kingwood Asylum, narrowing corridors at Asphyxia, a sentient forest at Deadwood, or a twisted carnival at Hysteria. Noted by many as a hidden gem, visitors mention that looks can be deceiving here—just when you think it’s over, the haunt keeps on going.

1965 A Northpark Drive, Kingwood
Redrum Fear Park has been scaring visitors in Fort Bend County ever since 2008 when the park first opened. Pick from experiences with names like Cinegore, Twisted Circus 3D, Deadwood Asylum, and The Purge Anarchy or check out its two themed nights where there’s a costume contest and a glow-in-the-dark blackout night. Visitors note that the scare actors are some of the best in the game here.

Having been voted one of the scariest haunts in Texas, visitors can decide between catching a life-altering virus at Scare Factory, ingesting toxic waste at Dark Woods Swamp, or encountering human experiments gone wrong at Pitch Black. If you’re really afraid of what might happen to you in one of the houses, spring for the No Touch Pass for an extra $10. You can also check out a haunted show that includes the Creepy Hollow Freak Show, an acrobatics performance by Aerial Nightmares, and psychic readings at Madame Luna Rose. Be careful with your vocal chords, as previous visitors note that they tend to scream their heads off.

With two locations to choose from, you can get double the scares at Phobia Haunted House. If you want to save a few bucks, nab the Exile Triple Attraction ticket at the Beltway 8 location, which gets you access to blood-lust infested creatures in Darke World, viral anguish at Contagion, and open air infestation at Savage Ground for only $30. Whichever location you decide to go, wear comfy shoes and prepare for lots of walking between attractions.

If you’re looking for something spooky, but for small children, check out this annual event put on by the Children’s Museum Houston. Enjoy music, games, floating ghosts, and mini haunted houses, recommended for all ages.
