District J Council Member Edward Pollard has raised concerns about how federal immigration agents interact with the public. In a letter to the ICE Houston Field Office, he calls for clearer identification from agents and an end to face coverings during enforcement actions. The aim is to strengthen community trust, reduce impersonation risks, and support safer interactions between residents and law enforcement. These changes can only be made at the federal level, but the conversation begins here in our community.
