State Rep. Gina Hinojosa (D-Austin)—who is running for Texas governor against Republican incumbent Greg Abbott—met with long-time residents of Granbury, Texas last week to hear about their frustrations with the increase in local data center developments and the negative effects they’re having on their community. Tom Weeks and Cheryl Shadden, who have lived in Granbury for 29 and 35 years respectively, are “breaking rank” this midterm election, sharing that they feel Abbott and Republicans have turned their back on voters.
