Fifteen local labor unions just launched “Houston Workers Deserve Better,” a pledge campaign pushing elected officials and business leaders to ensure Houston’s economic boom—including major events like the World Cup—actually reaches the workers on the ground.
Nearly 1,000 residents have already signed on, calling for higher wages, safer workplaces, better benefits, and a real voice on the job.
