As local leaders and her father reflected on how communities endure moments of national grief, they remembered Lauren’s courage, her impact, and the families across the country still carrying the weight of that day. Lauren, who was pregnant with her first child and anxious to return home to her husband, boarded a flight three hours before her scheduled departure.
