Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young: This doc looks at the UT football legend’s iconic collegiate career and the personal struggles that derailed his professional life. 

Maternal Instinct: In this one, an East Texas woman fakes her pregnancy to keep her boyfriend around, but someone had to die for her to keep up the act. 

America’s Sweethearts: This docuseries about the casting of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is on its third season and filming a fourth. The show has been so captivating that it just recently received its third Emmy nomination.

On Monday, I told you about a fire that broke out over the weekend in Sand Branch, a Dallas County area without basic city services like electricity, a sewage system, or running water. That lack of infrastructure made fighting the fire hard: There were no fire hydrants nearby to source water from. 

While residents have asked for these services for decades (and the county has refused to commit to the investment), the fire unlocked a new fear that pushed locals and community advocates to petition the county again. They’ve submitted an infrastructure bond proposal to the Dallas County commissioners and are hoping it gets approved in time to make it on the ballot for the Nov. 3 election. 

🐘 Trump-a-polooza: A first-of-its-kind Republic midterm convention is coming to Dallas next week, and GOP candidates from across the nation are expected to attend. While Trump, Paxton, and others take the stage, several groups will be protesting outside. Here’s how it’s all going to work. 

✋ No Tomahawk: In a unanimous vote, the Prosper Planning and Zoning Commission voted for the city to delay the 37-acre proposed data center, Project Tomahawk.
More than 400 residents submitted emails about this issue, while dozens testified in person.

🚸 Preschooler paradise: The state’s largest preschool is now open, offering a free, full-day, Montessori education for up to 120 children, ages 3-5. Take a look at this $6 million school, located on Texas Women’s University’s campus. (WFAA)

🚨 Pothole police: One Dallas County activist has taken it upon herself to get potholes repaired in neglected neighborhoods, and she put the Dallas mayor on blast to do it. See how she’s helping drivers. (KERA)
