The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo takes place February 12-March 1, 2026. Here’s everything you need to know.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo will return to 723 Frost Bank Center Drive on Feb. 12. The 18-day extravaganza, which runs through March 1, will include five individual brackets of riders competing across three rounds of events. The rodeo has been held annually since 1949 and has become one of the largest events in San Antonio, attracting over one million people each year.

In a press release announcing 2026’s event, the chief marketing officer for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, Chris Derby, wrote, “For more than 76 years, our traditions have brought San Antonio together, showcasing a world-class rodeo, Agriculture Fair, and Livestock Show and we can’t wait to see you in February.” He added, “We are excited about this year’s lineup and action-packed rodeo and look forward to all our rodeo fans supporting our mission and coming to the event for a great time.”

In addition to the rodeo and several concerts, the event helps create a positive impact on thousands of youths in Texas through grants, endowments, scholarships, calf scramble programs, show premiums, and junior livestock auctions. The CEO and Executive Director of the Rodeo, Cody Davenport, said in the press release, “We’re grateful to our community, sponsors, partners, and more than 7,000 volunteers who help advance our mission to educate the youth of Texas.”

Rodeo and concert tickets are available for purchase here. Let’s round up (ba-dum-tiss!) the rest of the details, including what events are being held and who you can expect to see in concert.

Riders will compete in three separate rodeo rounds

The annual San Antonio Rodeo is sanctioned by the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), with riders competing across three rounds in five different brackets. Riders with the highest scores in each bracket are then advanced to the next round, which includes two semi-finals and a wild card. The wild card round is held for those whose scores didn’t quite make the cut during the initial rounds. Riders with the top scores from both semi-finals and the wild card will then compete in the finals on February 28.
