Visit these 28 Michelin Star restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth for a truly decadent dining experience.
There’s nothing more satisfying for a chef than when their patrons thoroughly enjoy their food. Well, except one thing: receiving a Michelin star!
Smiles from satisfied guests and accolades from other food awards mean so much, but there is something distinctly special about being named a Michelin Star restaurant. This rare and coveted recognition tells others that your food is outstanding, your ingredients are top-notch, your personality shines through, and your menu consistently delivers good food. As a hungry customer, seeing a Michelin star award is a symbol of trust that can’t be beat.
In the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we have plenty of restaurants to choose from. So, having several stand out with a Michelin designation helps narrow down the best of the best.
From restaurants with humble beginnings to those with storied family histories, unremarkable corner shops to fantastic skyline views, these Michelin Star restaurants in the area are varied and unique. But all are absolutely masters at their craft and have officially made our restaurant bucket list.
Is it possible to send our compliments to the chef in advance? Because we already know the food in this list is going to be divine!
1. Quarter Acre
2023 Greenville Ave., Ste. 110, Dallas, TX 75206
Chef Toby Archibald adds a whimsical flair to his dishes at Quarter Acre, combining local Dallas-area produce with unique flavors from his home country of New Zealand.
Dinner often begins with a drink from the cocktail menu—like Daisy, Daisy, a tequila infused with banana leaves, plus mango and macadamia nut—then appetizers like Texas Mushrooms, Duck Rillettes, or Buttered N.Z. Mussels. Grilled wagyu beef cheek, seared duck breast, or hot-smoked salmon are one-of-a-kind options for the main course.

2. El Carlos Elegante
1400 N. Riverfront Blvd., Dallas, TX 75207
Authentic Mexican cuisine bursting with flavor and an ambiance cozier than your own home makes El Carlos Elegante an experience you won’t soon forget. This restaurant, in the Design District of Dallas, was modeled after similar spots in Mexico City and delivers a modern twist to its Latin dishes under the care of Chef Ivan Aguilar. It offers everything from charred octopus to cut-to-order el machete. A comprehensive agave menu completes the experience.
3. Knox Bistro
3230 Knox St., Ste. 140, Dallas, TX 75205
Despite its prominent location near the Katy Trail on Knox Street, the Knox Bistro looks unassuming from the outside. But the second you walk into this French bistro, you’ll see exactly why it earned a Michelin star. From caviar at brunch to trois gros-style seared salmon at dinner, this little corner spot is très chic. One bite, and you’ll understand why happy customers said the restaurant “exceeded our expectations.”
4. Fearing’s
2121 McKinney Ave., Dallas, TX 75201
Everything about Fearing’s is exceptional, from its afternoon tea menu to its innovative dishes led by Chef Dean Fearing (yep, the same one who wrote “The Texas Food Bible”). The steak restaurant, located inside the Ritz-Carlton, offers a true Southwestern take on its menu. Think: bison tenderloin soaked in maple and black peppercorn and served with jalapeno grits; chicken fried Maine lobster with whipped potatoes; and even the chef’s delicious tortilla soup recipe.

5. Rye
1920 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75206
If your friends recommended Rye, don’t count on ordering the same thing they did. This seasonal establishment prides itself on rotating its menu “constantly.” Hey, variety is the spice of life!
Go all out by trying the Chef’s Tasting Menu, $185, filled with unique items like kangaroo tartare, yellow corn ice cream, and beef cheek. Its whiskey is exceptional as well (for a restaurant named Rye, would you expect anything less?).
6. Cattleack Barbeque
13628 Gamma Rd., Dallas, TX 75244
For a restaurant that’s only open three-ish days a week—and only at lunch—Cattleack Barbeque is as hard to get as it is delicious. And that’s saying something, because North Texans are picky with our BBQ! Located near Galleria Dallas, owner and pitmaster Andrew Castelan fires up brisket, tequila sunrise pork belly ribs, wagyu pastrami brisket, and more made on an oak and hickory wood grill.
7. Sachet
4270 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas, TX 75219
It’s challenging to find good Mediterranean food when you live an entire ocean away from the Mediterranean, but the fabulous Sachet helps bridge the gap. Plus, it’ll make Dallasites happy with the way it incorporates Southern flair to menu items, like the chicken shawarma bowl with Texas cucumber or the tuna tartare, with labne, grapes, hazelnut dukkah, mint, and Texas jalapeño.
8. Goldee’s
4645 Dick Price Road, Fort Worth, TX 76140
You can never have too much BBQ, and Goldee’s in Fort Worth seems to take this to heart. You may have to wait an hour (or three) for this popular restaurant, but every minute is worth it.
Goldee’s is famous for its brisket made with premium Black Angus beef and slow-cooked with a locally sourced post oak. They have all the sides and fixin’s you could want, and you can even take its famous BBQ sauce home with you—or in your purse; we know how it is.
9. Lucia
287 N. Bishop Ave., Dallas, TX 75208
Italian food tastes better when it’s family-run, doesn’t it? That’s the case behind Lucia, owned by David and Jennifer Uygur. It serves classic Italian dishes with Texas-sized twists, like house-cured salumi, homemade pasta, and other dishes made with local produce.
Lucia has a frequently changing menu and a waitlist that books up weeks in advance, but you can always order a to-go dinner if you can’t wait.
10. Gemma
2323 N. Henderson Ave., Ste. 109, Dallas, TX 75206

Gemma—a sister restaurant to the other Michelin-starred restaurant Sachet—is owned by another husband-and-wife team, Chef Stephen Rogers and Allison Yoder. Elevated dishes include fried Castelvetrano olives with Texas pecans, scallops with a chile carrot puree, and lamb chops scottadito with rancho gordo tuscan white beans.
11. Barsotti’s
4208 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas, TX 75219
Vintage family photos decorate the walls and the spicy aroma of homemade lasagna Bolognese wafts from the kitchen at Barsotti’s. This Italian restaurant on Oak Lawn offers traditional pasta and other Italian dishes, along with a comprehensive Italian wine list, in honor of the owner’s Italian immigrant relatives who arrived in America a few generations ago.
Everything at Barsotti’s is done with care, from the garlic bread served with in-house ricotta to the tortellini vodka hand-stuffed with sausage, ricotta, and herbs. Finish with a delicious cannoli or Italian-American style chocolate cake.
12. Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen
1907 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75206
Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen is a home away from home for owner Carol Nguyen, who was inspired by the famous street vendors in her Vietnamese hometown. 13. Nonna
4115 Lomo Alto Dr., Dallas, TX 75219
Nonna is just as cozy, decadent, and beloved as the Italian grandmother it’s named after. This Highland Park restaurant switches up its menu daily, offering Italian cuisine based on what’s in season. However, you can always find delicious pasta and grilled items cooked in the wood-fired oven.
They even have pizza, although it’s more unique flavor combinations and less “cheese or pepperoni?” (You won’t find us complaining, though!)
14. Mercat Bistro
2501 N. Harwood St., Ste. 225, Dallas, TX 75201
Situated near the rich culture and history of some of Dallas’s finest museums, Mercat Bistro is a little taste of Paris in the Metroplex. The ambiance inside is just like a cozy European café, where you’re just as likely to sip a cup of coffee as you are to drink a glass of French wine on a date night. You can’t go wrong with the Michelin Tasting Menu, including beef tartare, onion soup gratin, bouillabaisse, duck confit, and braised short rib, finished with a warm chocolate profiterole for $95.

16. Harvest at the Masonic
215 N. Kentucky St., McKinney, TX 75069
Food at Harvest at the Masonic tastes good—and it makes you feel good, too. The Executive Chef, Dre, is also a Master Gardener, and he serves as the director of Water Boy Farms, which supplies the restaurant with many of its fresh produce, herbs, and beef.
The menu is made of local, ethically sourced ingredients that make up delicious items like Executive Chef Andrea’s cheese and charcuterie board, creole pan-seared shrimp, and chicken-fried steak (a classic Texas dinner). Don’t miss out on the local art on the walls and entertaining live music on the third floor.
17. Georgie
4514 Travis St., Dallas, TX 75205

19. Smoke’N Ash BBQ
5904 S. Cooper St., Ste. 110, Arlington, TX 76017

Patrick and Fasicka Hicks make Texas BBQ with a spicy Ethiopian sauce called awaze that takes each bite to the next level. Sides range from the expected (read: mac and cheese) to the unexpected, like Ethiopian lentil stew that somehow just works.

Named after a famous female rancher, Hallie Stillwell, Stillwell’s represents southern strength and beauty. The restaurant boasts “exceptional” HWD beef from its in-house breeding program, as well as one of the largest wine cellars in Dallas. Melt-in-your-mouth sides, like Brussels sprouts drizzled in a whiskey soy glaze with bacon and pickled peppers, elevate the experience.
All the magic happens on the 7th floor of Hôtel Swexan, a name that combines Swiss hospitality and southern Texas charm.

21. Stock & Barrel
316 W. Davis St., Dallas, TX 75208
The industrial design at Stock & Barrel fits perfectly inside the Bishop Arts area of Dallas. This Americana restaurant’s menu might seem like tried-and-true items, but each one comes with a twist—like the fried spicy spaghetti with wagyu meatballs or the wild isle salmon with cheesy grits.
For dessert, try the bread pudding made with croissants and salted caramel ice cream, or the dark chocolate mousse flavored with orange zest and sea salt.
22. Monarch
1401 Elm St., Dallas, TX 75201
There’s no question the food at Monarch is exceptional, but it’s the views from the 49th floor of The National that make this restaurant truly extraordinary.
