With beautiful flowers, delicious food, wonderful music, and fantastic fireworks, you won’t want to miss these 10 upcoming festivals in DFW.

Spring festival season will be here before you know it, and there are so many wonderful festivals in DFW to attend this year! See beautiful flowers, eat fantastic food, and enjoy kid-friendly activities at these 10 upcoming events.

It’s a perfect time to go to a festival before the weather gets too hot (or even after; we’re Texans, after all!). These cool outdoor events are our favorite way to enjoy artists and musicians, shop for locally made food and gifts, and simply soak up the spring sunshine.

I know that my kids (ages 8, 6, and 3) love running around the tulips at the Dallas Arboretum in the spring and visiting the Scarborough Renaissance Festival in April. Not to mention, the Frisco Freedom Fest is always a big hit at my house!

Add these 10 upcoming festivals to your calendar, and stay on the lookout for more upcoming festivals in DFW as the year progresses.

1. Dallas Blooms

When: Feb. 22-April 13, 2026

Where: 8525 Garland Road, Dallas

Spring doesn’t begin in North Texas until Dallas Blooms opens at the Dallas Arboretum. Wander through the gardens with a picnic basket and prettiest sundress as you admire the 500,000 gorgeous blooms. The tulips are my favorite, as they are colorful, stunning, and only last a few short weeks before the Texas heat kicks in.

There are various events happening throughout Dallas Blooms, including the Food & Wine Festival on March 26, where you can try delicious foods from top local chefs, paired with wine and beer.

This exhibit is a yearly visit for my family, as even the kids love running around in the pretty spring air and visiting the Children’s Adventure Garden!

2. Texas Forever Fest

When: March 21, 2026

Where: 901 East 15th Street, Plano

Celebrate all things Texas at the Texas Forever Fest at Haggard Park. This free festival includes live music and entertainment, activities, food and drinks, and vendors influenced by Texas’ spirit and diverse culture. It’s a great place to support local artists, try new bites, and shop for southern styles.

This event celebrates the Lone Star State and all the people who make living here so wonderful.

3. Ennis Bluebonnet Trails & Festival

When: April 1-30, 2026

Where: 201 NW Main, Ennis

See Texas’s state flower in all its glory at the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails, featuring over 40 miles of driving bluebonnet trails that you can enjoy the entire month of April. These are the oldest bluebonnet trails in the state, with ample viewing opportunities for the thousands of visitors who flock to the area every year.

During one weekend in April (dates TBA), the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails hosts a festival with vendors, food and wine, live music, and more. Wander through the beautiful flowers, have a picnic with your family, and enjoy the spring air.

4. Scarborough Renaissance Festival

When: April 4-May 25, 2026

Where: 2511 FM 66, Waxahachie

Every year, my kids and I love going to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival. Attendees get to travel back in time to the 16th century to enjoy medieval jousting, court dances, sword eaters, archery, camel rides, old-timey photos, turkey legs, and shopping at artisan vendors.

Don’t forget to check out the Mermaid Lagoon with real-life mermaids, the Mythical Monster Museum, and the magical Unicorn Experience! And for even more fun, dress up like knights and princesses for the fun festival.

5. Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival

When: April 16-19, 2026

Where: 777 Main Street, Fort Worth

There are so many things to do at the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival that you’ll need to come back every day to fit it all in. Walk around and enjoy live music from the best local acts and tribute bands, then grab a bite at one of the amazing food vendors with locally sourced ingredients.

The main attraction is the festival’s fine arts event, with hundreds of jury-selected works by visual artists on display, including sculptures, paintings, photography, glass, jewelry, printmaking, metalwork, and more—all available for purchase.

Need to keep the kids entertained? Check out the kids’ section to see live demonstrations on space, robotics, pottery, and more; invention stations; sand art; caricatures; and more ways to help kids embrace their creativity.

6. Taste Addison

When: April 17-19

Where: 4970 Addison Circle, Addison

Since 1993, Taste Addison has brought the area’s best culinary creations to Addison Circle Park. So come with a big appetite, because you’ll want a taste of every single thing! At the Tasting Hut, you can get just a bite of many of the food vendors for free or fill up with a regular-sized portion for a price at one of the outdoor food stalls.

Live entertainment, including music, performing arts, and a silent disco, can be found on multiple stages throughout the weekend festival. You can also find carnival games, kids’ activities, and a Piñata drop.

7. Dallas International Film Festival

When: April 23-30, 2026

Where: 110 Leslie Street #200, Dallas

The Dallas International Film Festival is our city’s version of the Toronto Film Fest and other world-renowned events. This event includes premiere film screenings, filmmaker panels, and nightly red carpets where filmmakers, screenwriters, celebrities, and others gather to discuss cinema.

If that wasn’t cool enough, this film festival is one of 181 film festivals around the world (and only 59 in the U.S.) to be considered an Oscar Qualifying Film Festival, meaning that films that win qualifying awards may be qualified to enter the Academy Awards! If you’re a film buff, then you don’t want to miss this special event.

8. Lone Star Smokeout

When: April 24-26, 2026

Where: 1 AT&T Way, Arlington

Beloved country music artists Shaboozey, Koe Wetzel, Casey Donahew, and Riley Green (among others) will be performing at the Lone Star Smokeout at AT&T Stadium this spring.

But this is not just a concert weekend—it’s also a chance to enjoy award-winning BBQ from pitmasters around the country. Those 21 and older can wash it down with cold beer and other adult beverages.

9. Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival

When: May 15-17

Where: 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson

It may not be quite as big as Coachella or Stagecoach, but the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival is just as spirited, campy, and delightful as any of the bigger music festivals around the country.

Wildflower! is fun for families looking to have a great time with their kids or adults wanting to let loose and dance the night away with some amazing live music. There is great food, fantastic art, and tons of activities to keep you entertained.

While this year’s lineup hasn’t been announced yet, you can expect a combination of big names and local talents. Last year, headliners included NEEDTOBREATHE and Young the Giant, while Randy Rogers Band, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Good Charlotte, The All-American Rejects, and Lynyrd Skynyrd have graced the stage in years past.

10. Frisco Freedom Fest

When: July 3-4

Where: 6101 Frisco Square Boulevard, Frisco

There are many fantastic Fourth of July events in North Texas to plan for, but one of my favorites has always been the Frisco Freedom Fest. The two-day event kicks off on July 3 with a Patriotic-themed fun run, a pet festival, and a cornhole tournament. Then on July 4, you can enjoy live music, great food, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular 20-minute fireworks show. Mark your calendars!
