Mathias will close her Bishop Arts storefront this week in the wake of two restrictive hemp bans—the latest to take effect on Friday. The 36-year-old, who plans to continuing operating Go Easy as an online business, told Courier Texas that politicians know little about the science of cannabis and reject the information they do have because of religion, stigma, or their own investments in the alcohol industry.
