‘How many more?’ Rep. Greg Casar warns Trump’s deportation agenda is turning deadly

Rep. Greg Casar is demanding accountability after the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero, a Colombian man who was shot by an ICE agent during an operation in Biddeford, Maine. Guerrero was married, had a young daughter, and immigrant rights advocates say he was authorized to work in the U.S. Witnesses told local media his 3-year-old daughter was nearby when the shooting happened. Casar said Guerrero’s death came just days after the fatal ICE shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, arguing the Trump administration’s mass deportation policies are becoming increasingly deadly. According to reporting, Guerrero is the 11th person fatally shot by federal immigration officials since President Trump’s second term began.
