Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia is raising new questions about ICE’s account of the fatal shooting of Houston construction worker Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. Garcia said witnesses told her unmarked SUVs boxed in their van and agents never identified themselves before firing. Their account, along with witnesses’ claim that shots came from the side, not the front, contradicts ICE’s claim that Salgado Araujo rammed an agent’s vehicle.
