Former Houston City Council member Letitia Plummer secured 51% of the vote in Tuesday night’s runoff, defeating former Houston Mayor Annise Parker to become the Democratic nominee for Harris County Judge. Plummer will face Republican nominee Orlando Sanchez in November as the race to succeed Lina Hidalgo moves into its next phase.
