A group of demonstrators took part in a “National Day of Action to Stop ICE Warehouse Detention” on Saturday in Dallas. Earlier this year, The Washington Post reported that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement planned to renovate industrial warehouses to turn into immigrant detention centers, including a one-million-square-foot Amazon warehouse in Hutchins that would have held up to 9,500 people before the community put a stop to it.
