State Rep. Christina Morales (D‑Houston) warned that more than 50,000 people were detained by ICE in July calling it a crisis that won’t change without action in November. She pointed to her 2023 vote to impeach Ken Paxton, saying the evidence still shapes what Texans know about their attorney general. Morales added that Republicans claim to be the party of law and order, yet accountability remains missing.
