Young voters share why they’re casting ballots during Talarico’s University of Houston stop

State Rep. James Talarico brought his “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose” tour to the University of Houston as part of his US Senate campaign, encouraging students to get involved in the political process and make their voices heard at the ballot box. Several students told Courier Texas they’re motivated to vote by a desire for greater representation in government and hopes of shaping Texas’ political future. Talarico said many young people at his events are participating in their first political event, calling youth engagement key to shaping the future of Texas and the country.
