The Houston Rodeo is just around the corner, and all eyes are usually on what crazy food combinations vendors can come up with. The rodeo recently announced what’s new this year, and there are quite a few … interesting additions.
New menu items include:
🍫 Dubai Chocolate Oreos
🧀 Cheese on a Stick with Buldak Ramen
🥓 Bacon Jam Beignets
🥞 Hot Chicken Pancake Poppers
I think I’m most intrigued by the Bacon Jam Beignets (I love a sweet and salty moment), but what’s piquing your taste buds?

With the SAVE Act set to go before the Senate next week, I wanted to know y’all’s thoughts on its potential passage.
TL;DR: The SAVE Act would add new documentation requirements to register to vote, potentially making it harder for women and other communities to participate.
Earlier this week, I asked:
|
Would the SAVE Act help or harm voters?
|
Here’s what you had to say:
“I agree that only citizens should be allowed to vote!” — Linda B.
“Everyone’s paperwork should be up to date with names and last names. Besides, even if your last name has changed, government can find you and you can change name while registering to vote. Being a woman is no excuse for not voting or registering to vote.” — Lou M.
Editor’s note: Federal law already restricts voting in federal elections to US citizens. Instances of noncitizens casting ballots are rare, according to multiple studies and reviews of election data.

In January, TIME Magazine published its 2026 list of The World’s Top Universities, determined by contributors Raj Chetty and John Friedman.
The duo made their definitive ranking after researching a variety of factors, including “academic excellence” and economic impact, both of which we’ll go over below.

While three Texas schools ultimately made the cut, two received the distinguished honor of making the Top 50: Rice University and The University of Texas at Austin. The announcement comes during a period of turmoil for the latter, which is facing backlash for its decision to consolidate its gender, ethnic, and race programs.
