Colin Allred running for US House to ‘stand up to Donald Trump’

Calling Dallas his home, Colin Allred on Monday announced his campaign to return to Congress, this time in a primary race that pits him against an incumbent Democrat.
Allred, who served in the US House for three terms, announced his run for the 33rd Congressional District in Dallas after dropping out of the US Senate race. He’ll face US Rep. Julie Johnson in the Democratic primary in March.
