A new mural in Houston’s East End honors Lorenzo Salgado Araujo while highlighting the impact of ICE enforcement on immigrant families. Created by renowned Houston artist Daniel Anguilu, the artwork depicts Lorenzo, ICE agents taking a child, and union workers standing together in solidarity. Service Employees International Union (SEIU) President Elsa Flores says the mural serves as both a memorial and a reflection of the fear, resilience and unity felt throughout the community as organizers continue calling for change.
