As if the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup wasn’t exciting enough, Sports Illustrated recently announced it will be hosting an event, “SI Beyond the Pitch,” at SILO on June 20.

Gordo, the world-famous DJ (who previously worked under the name Carnage) and record producer, is slated to headline the Dallas show. He’s best known for his collaborations with artists like Drake. Gordo produced several of the Canadian rapper’s hit songs on his “Honestly, Nevermind” and “For All The Dogs” albums, which both went to No. 1 on the music charts.

An announcement for the event explained why Sports Illustrated wanted to host one of its several exclusive events in the Big D. “Dallas is home to a passionate sports audience and will host both group stage matches and the semi-finals of the tournament, with SI Beyond the Pitch Dallas taking place during the group stage matches,” the company wrote

Additional talent will be announced closer to the celebration. It’s scheduled for two days prior to the Argentina v. Austria match at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium on June 22. Event partners like Verizon will also host interactive experiences at “SI Beyond the Pitch.”

An official description on SILO’s website says it will be “the ultimate celebration at the intersection of sport, music, and culture. Featuring live performances by GORDO, the night brings together top athletes, celebrities, and tastemakers for an unforgettable experience inspired by the energy of the summer’s biggest tournament.”
