Chip and Joanna Gaines are back at it again with their newest series, “Fixer Upper: Chip Bought a Mansion,” and the home they renovated has officially been listed for sale at a cool $7.4 million.
The home is located at 5305 Hillcrest Drive in Waco and features six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three half baths. It spans over 14,000 square feet and 5.7 acres of land with sweeping views of nearby Lake Waco.
The mansion was originally purchased as an investment property by Chip in 2023. As always, he brought Joanna in to assist with the design aspect of the renovations.

A full property overhaul will be detailed in the upcoming six-episode series, which debuts on HGTV and the Magnolia Network on December 27. Each episode will be available for streaming on HBO Max the following day for anyone who’s unable to catch them as they air live.
In a recently released snippet of the show, Joanna touches on the challenges the couple faced trying to get the property flipped within their three-month deadline.
She says, “This will be the biggest fixer we’ve ever done — This is actually my favorite part about what we do, is that we get to do it together. This one just feels heavier.”
The agent holding the listing for Magnolia Realty (which is also owned by the Gaineses), Amanda Nesbitt, said the property has been “thoughtfully reimagined to reveal a timeless, more neutral-leaning palette for a future owner.”
Nesbitt added in a separate note to People Magazine, “Chip and Jo have done a spectacular job reimagining each space in the finest way.” Joanna, for her part, worked with fellow designers to ensure the couple was maintaining the home’s original style and character while adding in necessary refreshes.
The ‘Fixer Upper’ home has numerous luxurious features
Given how large the home is, it was safe to assume that the mansion would offer an array of luxurious features for prospective buyers to enjoy. Its European-style has been carefully maintained by Chip and Joanna Gaines, including its cast-stone façade, stone columns, and two-story foyer, which is complete with iron banisters in ornate designs.
The official listing for the Waco home states, “As part of the Fixer Upper renovations, the home’s architectural details, such as intricate trim, moldings, and millwork will be preserved and elevated in order for their craftsmanship to shine.”
Beyond that, each of the bedrooms and bathrooms have been renovated and have their own personalized sense of style. Some of the mansion’s biggest selling points include:
- A billiard room
- A wet bar
- A private study
- A wine cellar
- A gym complete with a steam shower
- A butler’s pantry
- A media room
In addition to the primary residence there’s also a guest suite which has its own living area, bathroom, bedroom, private entrance, and kitchenette. Housed within its 5.7 acres of land are an infinity-edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, covered porches, a pond, four garage bays, and a motor court. It really is a home fit for royalty!
The president of Magnolia Network, Allison Page, previously told realtor.com that fans are sure to enjoy the beloved couple’s antics in “Fixer Upper: Chip Bought a Mansion.” Page said, “What makes this project so entertaining is that it begins with a big idea that only Chip could dream up.”
She added, “As the renovation unfolds, viewers will experience every twist and turn alongside Chip and Joanna while watching them navigate anything they’ve tackled before. It’s unpredictable, fun, and a compelling next chapter in the ‘Fixer Upper’ story.”
