Okay Dallas, whether you’re committing to calling it football or you’re sticking with the term “soccer,” the 2026 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner. To celebrate the momentous occasion, Klyde Warren Park announced it will be hosting “Global Watch Parties” throughout the tournament’s June 11-July 19 run.

The park will essentially be transformed into a massive outdoor living room with an enormous LED screen and plenty of great viewing spots across its 5.4 acres. Fans are politely encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs for optimum comfort. All watch parties are completely free to attend and will include broadcasts in both English and Spanish from FOX and Telemundo respectively.

One quick scheduling note: Games will not be shown on July 4 or on specific World Cup “rest” days, which include July 8, 12, 13, 16, and 17. Start times for each of the matches varies, with some potentially beginning at 6 a.m. and others lasting until 10 p.m. For Klyde Warren Park’s full viewing schedule, please click here.

The CEO and president of Klyde Warren Park, Kit Sawers, said in a press release announcing the events, “Klyde Warren Park has always been Dallas’ town square — a place where people from every neighborhood, background and culture come together to celebrate the moments that define our city. The FIFA World Cup will bring the world to North Texas, and we’re proud to provide a free, welcoming space where fans and families can experience the excitement together in the heart of Dallas.”

Sawers added,  “These watch parties extend the World Cup experience far beyond the stadium — Whether you have match tickets or not, this gives everyone an opportunity to be part of the energy, pride and global connection that comes with hosting one of the world’s biggest sporting events.”

Food, drinks, and entertainment will also be available

Every “Global Watch Party” hosted at Klyde Warren Park will be complete with family-friendly activities, food trucks, live music, restaurant dining options, fitness classes, appearances by community partners and local soccer organizations, public art experiences, and lawn games. On weekend match days, the stretch of Olive Street between the park’s east and west sides will be transformed into a plaza for pedestrians to better help accommodate crowds. Food truck schedules can be found here. Restaurant options include Mi Cocina and its counter service spot La Parada, which both serve Tex-Mex style food.

If you’re looking for even more free fun to enjoy during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Sundance Square is similarly hosting watch events for 104 matches throughought the tournament. More information on that can be found in this story.
