Tarrant County Commissioners Court to vote on slashed polling locations

The Tarrant County Commissioners Court will vote today on whether or not to reduce the number of Election Day polling locations from 316 to 176—a roughly 45% reduction—ahead of the November midterm elections. State Sen. Nathan Johnson (D-Dallas), who is running for Texas Attorney General, called the proposal a “ridiculous plan” during a rally outside the court in Fort Worth ahead of today’s meeting.
