Commissioner Rodney Ellis says he’ll move to fund the DA’s independent probe into the killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and he’s formally bringing an item to Commissioners Court to make it happen. Ellis called Araujo “a valued member of this community” and said his family, Harris County residents, and the American people “deserve answers.” He emphasized that investigators must have the resources to follow every fact and not rely solely on ICE or DHS accounts.
