During a community discussion on data centers hosted by the Texas Organizing Project in Dallas Thursday night, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins shared his thoughts on Texas giving data center developers tax breaks and exemptions. Texas will lose out on $3.2 billion in sales tax revenue from data centers over the next two years because of exemptions, according to the comptroller’s office.
