It’s not just Democrats questioning the Trump administration’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund.
During Todd Blanche’s confirmation hearing, Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn challenged the acting attorney general’s claim that the fund is a “moot issue,” noting the underlying settlement remains in place and Trump has not agreed in writing to abandon it.
Cornyn argued that leaves open the possibility a future lawsuit could bring the fund back.
