Jacinto City officials say they were caught off guard by a proposed AI data center at a former Budweiser bottling plant and they’re now moving fast to put guardrails in place. The City Council has adopted an emergency ordinance requiring a Specific Use Permit for any datacenter project, adding strict standards for noise, generators, water use, electrical demand, landscaping, screening, and ongoing monitoring.
